My husband and I went out with another couple to check out Savor Pittsburgh. It’s an event where basically you pay to come in and taste unlimited samples of food, beer and liquor from various restaurants, chefs, brewery’s, etc. It’s an awesome fundraiser event, and you’ll walk away with a full belly of everything from lamb, baby quail eggs, cheeses I can’t pronounce (let alone spell) and an insane amount of drinks to wet your whistle!
So after I had my share of vittles, I opted to taste this chocolate peanut butter porter beer named “Sweet Baby Jesus!” When I took my first swig, THAT’S exactly what I shouted. “Sweet Baby Jesus!” I’ve never tasted ANYTHING like this before. Wasn’t sure about it at first, then it grew on me. But the name and design of the label is what really caught my attention. Being a graphic designer and someone that loves marketing, I can always appreciate the effort a company puts in their product and brand.
Overall, it’s a great beer with a great name! There is power in your name! Is your business name or product name memorable? Is your own personal name one that people tend to remember? Especially if you are a coach or your business / brand is based off of your own name.
When people hear your brand’s name, they shouldn’t give you the blank stare, or looked confused or bored even. Hopefully, they will be intrigued, inspired or so excited by it that they too yell, “Sweet Baby Jesus, that’s such a great name!”
